Leadership development and diversity in JSE-listed companies

The study sought to reveal and analyze the causes for lack of advancement black talent in Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE)-listed companies, including how they can be dealt with. research further examined impact leadership development on acceleration at executive levels within JSE-listed companies South Africa. A qualitative approach was employed. This an exploratory study. paradigm considered suitable attempting understand problem situation. used purposive, non-probability sampling. data were obtained from 16 semi-structured interviews conducted with different business leaders employed by or who served board directors a company. respondents included chairpersons, chief executives, human resources (HR) practitioners companies.
